APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Thank you for your interest in the Cascades East Family Medicine Residency Program. The Residency Program has eight PGY-1 positions available each year. Applications must be completed through the Electronic Residency Application System(ERAS). We only accept first year residents through the National Resident Matching Program.

    Requirements for All Applicants:

  • Deadline for application is December 1st of each year
  • Only ERAS applications will be accepted
  • Three letters of recommendation are required (one from a family physician preferred)
  • Personal Statement: We have no specific requirements but would like to hear why you are choosing Family Medicine
  • No more than one failure on USMLE/COMLEX

    Additional Information for International Medical Graduates:

  • We do sponsor J-1 and H-1B visas
  • Must pass the CSA
  • U.S. clinical experience is required unless it has been less than two years since the date you graduated from medical school

Student Electives

Our clinic hosts many visiting students throughout the academic year. Electives offered include a family medicine clerkship and a sub-internship. Please see Student Electives under the Curriculum link for details on these rotations and applicant requirements. These electives provide an excellent opportunity to check out the program and life in Klamath Falls.
