We recognize that an integral part of health is food.  Delicious, delicious food.

Our local Wellness Center has recognized this as well.   As such they have partnered with Tulane's Goldring Center for Culinary Medicine to offer culinary medicine classes to both our residents and the community.

Residents will participate in a seven session series that focuses on cost conscious nutrition; how to communicate the health impacts of food, basic nutrition principles, as well as simple food prep; and finally how to incorporate these skills into your busy clinic day.  We meet as a group to prepare a delicious meal and share time in community and tasty education.

Community members will be invited to participate in any of four different three-lesson series that focus on simple, healthy, and cost conscious meals.  Residents will be able to volunteer teach these courses side by side with the Wellness Center's Dietitian and chef.
