Mobile Health Clinic
Many families in rural Oregon live with poor access to health care due to living situations, times of crisis or transportation difficulties. For this reason Cascades East Family Medicine Residency created a Mobile Health Clinic in order to deliver health care to where it is needed the most. The Mobile Health Clinic is a fully equipped vehicle featuring two private exam rooms, a patient education area and a nurses' station. It is staffed by residents and faculty and supplied with basic medical equipment and medications.
The Mobile Health Clinic is set up to deliver much-needed care to the city of Klamath Falls' underserved patients at the Gospel Mission and the local women's shelter. It also travels to underserved outlying areas such as the small town of Sprague River. The clinic is capable of being a Disaster Response Unit with physicians and residents ready to respond if a need were to arise.
