Sky Lakes Medical Center
The Sky Lakes Medical Center is a
nationally accredited, not-for-profit
community-based hospital
that provides a full range of
healthcare services for a 10,000
square-mile area in south central
Oregon and northern California.
The medical center's 176-bed hospital was just remodeled and
features the most modern
equipment possible in all areas
including diagnostic imaging. The
hospital has fully digital MRI and
CT scanners with computerized
viewing stations, a recently
expanded vascular lab, two newly
remodeled catheterization labs, a cancer treatment center, an outpatient dialysis center
and is rapidly developing a fully
integrated electronic medical
record for both inpatient and outpatient
care.
The center's 12-bed
Family Birth Center, opened in
1998, has been featured in
national publications for the high quality
delivery of family-centered
care.
The hospital-based Child
Abuse Resource and Evaluation
Services (CARES) unit addresses
the medical needs of children
who may be victims of abuse.
